2020 CHANCELLOR'S AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE Recipient from Pacifica Graduate Institute, CA

Ida Covi, MA. possesses a deep and true love for our planet and all life on Earth. Her passion is expressed through her humanitarian and ecological work. As the CEO and co-founder of iRewild Institute, located in Ocala, FL, Ms. Covi is currently working to transform the thinking of future-oriented people. iRewild is a global institute for thought leaders creating new approaches and breakthrough ideas in order to foster a thriving and flourishing planet for all its inhabitants. iRewild seeks to create eco-citizens, who value a more reciprocal relationship between the human psyche, society, and our natural world. Ms. Covi states, “No one person or business can restore our world’s fragile environment, but we can restore bits and pieces of the environment that are within our reach.” An active presenter at conferences, Ms. Covi speaks on eco-consciousness, eco-capitalism, and on bringing the human soul back into conscious relationship with nature.

Ms. Covi was honored to receive Pacifica Graduate Institute’s highest award: The CHANCELLOR'S AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE for her work with iRewild and the Haiti micro-loan program, Oneness.Life.

Ms. Covi is also the founder of Oneness.Life, a micro-loan program located in a remote, often forgotten, area of Haiti. Interest-free, recycling micro-loans have been set-up to help women in Grande Goave, Haiti, start small businesses so they can earn a modest living and also perpetuate a micro-economy from within their own community. To date, numerous women have started their own business despite deep levels of poverty and desperate circumstances. These small businesses now provide reliable income to feed and educate their children while also increasing their own sense of empowerment and self-esteem. As a result of well-constructed processes and operational efficiencies the fund has sustained zero bad debt.

Ms. Covi’s previous professional roles include: CEO and Board Director of Radius Steel, an industrial manufacturer; C-level positions in the venture capital, investment-banking, and turn-around sector; and board member on several environmental and humanitarian-oriented, non-profit organizations. She found her passion for the natural world during her inquisitive youth, while growing up on a farm in northern Vermont, and in her early career, by actively participating on the board of LCI, a non-profit organization involved in the fish, wildlife, and environmental conservation of Lake Champlain, Vermont. Ms. Covi is the author of the books Rewilding The Senses, Even The Caterpillar Sings, ReachingBeyond, as well as many professional articles.

Ms. Covi holds an MA in depth psychology and creativity from Pacifica Graduate Institute (the study of the language and the dynamics of the unconscious as it manifests in the conscious mind), as well as specialization certifications in eco-psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and leading from the emerging future, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BA in psychology from St. Michael’s College.

Ms. Covi passionately pursues her own further education in the study of consciousness, and has developed a strong personal goal for helping others further expand their own personal awareness and understanding of how to foster their individuation process, to develop their human-earth relationship, and to be active global citizens in a culturally diverse world community.

Beyond her professional career, Ms. Covi is the proud mother of two adult children. Being an outdoor enthusiast, she is an active mountain biker, and loves to spend time exploring the backcountry. Ms. Covi is also an accomplished equestrian, having competed in both dressage and jumping.
